This award is chosen annually by the MAHPBA Board of Directors and is "awarded to the individual who is distinguished in their commitment to the hearth, patio & barbecue products industries and whose ideas, energy and actions have enhanced oppertunities for hearth, patio & barbecue products professionals throughout the Mid-Atlantic."
2010 Recipient: Rona Kelley
I’m proud to announce that the BOD has named this year’s Pat Magnotti recipient Rona Kelley
Rona was one of MAHPBA’s founding members and first officers. She was the first Secretary/ Treasurer of MAHPBA. She was instrumental in forming the foundation of our affiliate and has always been a very active participant on the Board.
As a member of the original membership committee, she worked hard to make the HPA members in the Mid-Atlantic states aware of the new affiliate and the first EXPO Reception in Baltimore in 2000.
She has always been a strong force behind MAHPBA Annual Meetings since 2001 and was the guiding force in the marketing of the meetings and planning of interesting programs. She also contributed to the formation of the sponsorship program and budgeting for the events. She recently passed her ANNUAL MEETING bible that she created over those years over to Eiron Scheetz. During her tenure on the Board of Directors, she has always been a watchdog of the finances and dedicated to making sure your dues came back in member value.
She has been an active member of this board for 10 ten years and as one of MAHPBA’s strongest contributors, she will be sorely missed.

This year the Pat Magnotti Award went to co-founding member and MAHPBA's first President, Ken Trail in recognition of his longtime dedication and service to the Mid-Atlantic HPBA. Congratulations Ken and thank you for all of your hard work and dedication!
