EPA's Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program - Why You REALLY Need to Know the IMPACT of this Lead Paint Rule on Your Retail/Installation Business
1.5 Elective CEUs

EPA is issuing a final rule under the authority of section 402(c)(3) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) to address lead-based paint hazards created by renovation, repair, and painting activities that disturb lead-based paint in target housing and child-occupied facilities. The new rule proposes to eliminate a provision that exempted some housing from the rule's requirement that contractors be trained and certified and use lead-safe work practices when renovating, repairing or painting a pre-1978 home. With the deadline (April 22, 2010) fast approaching for remodelers and other contractors to be trained and certified in lead-safe work practices, now is the time to prepare your company.
